The upcoming conference will mark the 30th anniversary of the TRB National Transportation Planning Applications Conference with the first one being held in 1987 in Orlando, Florida. Although the issues have changed over the years, the Conference has remained focused on providing opportunities to showcase new transportation planning techniques and methods emphasizing practical, innovative, and timely technical and policy approaches to transportation planning. Presentations, workshops, discussion sessions and tutorials are all expected to be a part of the 2017 program, continuing the focus on practical, innovative and timely techniques for solving planning problems. As with past conferences, we anticipate hundreds of planners and engineers to gather in Raleigh to discuss, share and network with their peers.

The TRB Standing Committee for Transportation Planning Applications (ADB50) is working hard to bring another successful conference to the transportation planning community. Additional conference details and registration information will be forthcoming in late 2016/early 2017. But for now, please mark your calendars and plan to join us in Raleigh, North Carolina in May 2017!
